Week 46

Kia Ora Whanau! 

So we had some really cool experiences this week!

The first one happened with Natasha. So on Wednesday she randomly texted us and asked if we could do a lesson in and hour. We were like man okay! We went over and taught her about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and as we taught her you could literally see it click in her head and see the spirit testify to her that what we are sharing is true! It was the coolest and then nek minit she says "so what about baptism?" We talked about it a little and asked her when she wanted to get baptized and she didnt know but she wants to get baptized and so we committed her to pray about it! 

Another cool thing that happened is we were door knocking and this guy named Seth opened the door and we had such a cool doorstep conversation. He is so keen and honestly I have never found someone while door knocking like this before! It was so cool! 

A third really awesome thing that we started teaching a family who has less than conventional living circumstances at the moment. All the lessons we have we have with them are so uplifting! We invited them to come to church and they came! Everyone at church was so potivitve and welcoming and didnt judge them whatsoever! It was just a really uplifting and loving environment which I was so grateful for! One of the members of the family said to me that she could just feel something good when she walked into the building! I told her that it was the Holy Ghost and again, you could see it click for her! It was so special! 

That's all that happened this week but my spiritual thought comes from Doctrine and Covenants 6:36 which says "look unto me in every thought, doubt not fear not" I know that if you just do your best to look to Christ in all things, then you will have peace and have no reason to fear or doubt.

Week 73

Kia Ora Whanau This week we went on back to back exchanges which was good but a struggle. I was away from my area for 48hours which was not my favourite. I love my area and my companion!  Our ward had its ministering night on Tuesday and we made so many posts on facebook to make sure people knew about it so that the members would come and they did! I was so excited because this was the first time members actually showed up! It was great because we had enough members to go with each companionship. We had so many great reports and our Bishop was so excited about it. We took a photo afterwards and posted it on the ward facebook to try and encourage people to come next month. Wednesday I was on exchanges and we just walked and visited people. One lady that we visited talked for forever it was crazy haha. Week 29

Kia Ora Whanau This week was crazy and not in a good way.  It started off really good, and ended not so awesome. We were in Dunedin on Monday and Tuesday for a combined district council. During the meeting, we did this activity where we talked about what a privilege it is to be able to serve a mission and then we each went and said an individual prayer thanking Heavenly Father for the opportunity to serve. I was so emotional and so grateful to be here on my mission. I honestly don't know what I would be doing if I wasn't on my mission. Coming here has been the best decision I've ever made.  Sister Tu'i'onetoa stayed with us Tuesday - Thursday because her companions went to Nelson for an appointment. It was super fun to be working with her. We worked so hard.  On Wednesday, we went to Temuka (another little town in our area) and walked all day. We had a lesson with a less active and non member and we talked about the Book of Mormon. The less activ
